The sculptural frame has been carved in an air-drying clay over a cradled wood frame armature with a little inset cove. The bird has been constructed similarly and both are then painted in gouache, inked with a deep and rich back ink, then varnished for protection. The bird was then mounted in a little cove home. The carving goes frm the front to over all 4 sides. Inset photo shows detail. Comes ready to hang.
